Ellen DeGeneres has suddenly quit as a judge on famous TV reality singing competition, American Idol.

“A couple of months ago, I let Fox and the ‘American Idol’ producers know that this didn’t feel like the right fit for me,” Generes said. It was a difficult decision to make, but my work schedule became more than I’d bargained for, she added. Jennifer Lopez will be taking Generes’ place according to news reports. They say J Lo is excited about being a part of the American Idol. De Generes’ departure was not a surprise at all even if it is an abrupt decision. This week, the producer of the show started to cue that they were thinking of starting with a whole new set of judges. The show’s priority back then was to find one who will take Simon Cowell’s judge seat after he stated that he was quitting starting “X Factor”, a show of his own next year. Rumored possible successors came out such as Elton John, Harry Connick Jr., Sean “Diddy” Combs and Jessica Simpson.

De Generes succeeded Paula Abdul last August as a member of the panel. Abdul quitted because of some contract conflicts. De Generes tend not to blend in with her fellow member of the panel. She stated, “I realized this season that while I love discovering, supporting and nurturing young talent, it was hard for me to judge people and sometimes hurt their feelings. But she said she is very grateful and loved the experience she had on American Idol. The reality TV show still a big hit on TV having 18 million of viewers in an  average week, very far from “Dancing with the Stars”, the show’s closest rival.

Two weeks ago, auditions for the new season already started. It seems that those who were chosen on he first cut were said to come back after the new set of judges are ready to seat on the panel.

As of the moment, the Bulls are evaluating McGrady’s health if he can really play healthy the whole season. If this is the case, then he will get a great contract with the Bulls.

Kyle Parker will be returning to Clemson as a quarterback as he decided his career to continue in the football not in the baseball field. There’s so much writings about Parker’s decision because he is the first Division I athlete to throw 20 touchdowns and hit 20 homeruns in the same year. He announced Wednesday that he will have his sophomore year in Clemson.

Parker was picked 26th overall in the Major League Baseball draft and he mentioned Wednesday that he will push through his negotiation with the Rockies in which he has until August 16 to sign with the Rockies.

“I am ready to get back to Clemson, work out with my football teammates and coaches and get ready for the season,” Parker said in a statement. “The closer you get to football season the more you think about playing in Death Valley, running down the hill and being a part of the Clemson football tradition.”

His name might be hard to pronounce before the tournament but the now the world is learning to speak the name of South African Louis Oosthuizen who just captured the Brithis Open 2010 Golf Championship on the Old Course of St. Andrews, Scotland.

Defying the odds beating the big names like Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and Lee Westwood, Oosthuizen making a final round one under par 71 to finish with the total of 16 -under par 272 holes. He is the first player to win his first major title at the birthplace of golf since American Tony Lema in 1964.

Westwood came in second on 9 under par. Northern Ireland’ s Rory McIlroy, Sweden’s Henrik Stenson and England’s Paul Casey shared third on eight-under. This is a sweet day for Oosthuizen and his family.

Another milestone for the aerospace industry as the Boeing 787 Dreamliner landed in Farnborough, England. A first time to land outside the United States. The flight took nine hours from Seattle the Dreamliner touched down after 9:00 AM local time and was parked in front of of the company’s officials. The white twin-engine jet with dark blue racing striped going to this place was one of the most anticipated event.

The Boeing program of Boeing 787 is three years behind the schedule. The Dreamliner, which is made largely of carbon-fiber composite material, offers state-of-the-art technology and Boeing revamped its manufacturing methods to build the new plane. Those decisions have led to many of the problems that have plagued the program.

The controversial Paris Hilton was detained in Corsica after a sniffer dog detected a small quantity of marijuana in her bag. Corse Matin Newspaper reported that officers at the airport in Figari that the marijuana weighs one gram.

Hilton was transiting the French Mediterranean island in a private jet Friday was incarcerated in for questioning but released after about 30 minutes later. In that report, Hilton was with the big personalities in Malaysia from the French Capital to Porto Cervo in Sardinia.

In a posting on the TwitLonger site Saturday, Hilton wrote, “Just to put an end to these rumors. The stories saying I have been arrested are completely false!”

Hilton was also arrested last month after the gam of Brazil and Netherlands in the world cup 2010 in Port Elizabeth Africa on the charge of possession of marijuana though the case was dropped at court hearing midnight that day.

The world’s greatest golfer Tiger Woods, who is winless this season, hoping to join the British Open 2010 at St. Andrews and win his third title of the tournament.Woods won all four professional major championships in his recent career known as the Career Grand Slam and was the youngest to do so. The British Open at St. Andrews is one of the favorite golf courses of Woods after winning his second title there.

After a comeback last tournament at the Masters supporters of Woods are now expecting him to join and win this tournament. But Woods will find it hard to make it, to win the tournament. Many of his contenders too are aiming for the title like the Masters Champion Phil Mickelson, Lee Westwood and last year’s British open Champion Stewart Cink will surely defend his title and it would affect his performance after his scandal. Last performance of Woods at the Masters was not that good though good enough but there is something missing compared to his performances on the different tournaments that he joined. But still Woods’ fans are waiting for his confirmation to entry and hoping to win the title. Surely he will do the best of his performance to win his third title of the tournament. From the first time he played golf, Woods fell in love and get addicted to playing it.

Because of the consumers’ dissatisfaction on the iPhone 4, Apple will be holding a press conference on Friday to explain the iPhone problems. A very significant move by Apple to give the consumers hope because they are plagued with problems and that the company receives complaints and displeasure from the buyers.

Just after the launching of the iPhone 4, there was already who encountered the “death grip” problem which happens when a person holds the iPhone on the bottom left corner. After holding, the signal will be disrupted and the calls will be gone. There was also the lock glitch in which other device caught fire.

In the previous responds by Apple, they mentioned that the problems were about the faulty iOS 4.0. Will this be the perfect action for Apple Inc? Is this the press conference that they are looking for? Have they fixed the iPhone 4 problems?

While the NBA Free Agency continues, there’s a lot of NBA fans out there who are asking which team in the NBA is the favorite to win the title next season. With LeBron James, Chris Bosh, and Dwayne Wade in the Miami Heat line up, the Heat is now considered by millions the favorite not only the Eastern Conference but the entire NBA. While Dwayne Wade admitted that the Los Angeles Lakers are still the team to beat in the NBA. Is this good to be true?

Look at the current line up of the Miami Heat: LeBron James, Chris Bosh, Dwayne Wade with the inclustion of Mike Miller, Udonas Haslem, and now Ilgauskos. Though the lineup still is not complete, we are compelled that Pat Riley will make more moves to strengthen the lineup. However, the Lakers upgraded their pointguard by adding Steve Blake to back up Derek Fisher who decided to join the Lakers instead of the Heat.

It would be great to see Kobe Bryant guarding Dwayne Wade, Ron Artest on Lebron James, and Pau Gasol vs Chris Bosh guarding. Their two games schedule are mark games. Which team do you think is the favorite next season?
